Athleta Friends & Family sale try-on – Jess Keys

(If you don’t know about B-Corp certification, it’s only awarded to companies adhering to the industry’s highest standards for people and planet, which isn’t an easy certification to get in the first place, and in order to maintain their B-Corp certified status, companies must undergo reevaluation every three years!) ANNNDDD they just launched a collection with Simone Biles (!!!)

Whether you’re looking for new workout clothes, or are in the market for some versatile athleisure pieces to wear in and out of the studio, I think their sale is definitely worth perusing.

I wish I could’ve ordered more for this try-on (but, you know, budget 😂) and it was really hard to narrow down what to choose! Ultimately I wanted to test out pieces that worked for everyone for a variety of different occasions–active life, mom life, work from home life, and everything in between. I hope you like these as much as I do!

IN MOTION SEAMLESS TOP: $39

My first In Motion seamless top and it certainly won’t be my last! (They make short sleeve, sleeveless styles too if you’re searching for those!) I would almost describe these as…perforated? They have tiny little holes for breathability. The material is stretchy, moves with you, and I love that the bottom edges have a silicone non-slip lining so your shirt doesn’t ride up! Such a great top!

Sizing: I have a size small, I’d say the fit is roomy/loose. If you want it formfitting, size down.

SIGNATURE RIB CROP TEE: $41

A really great basic tee that is a nice change-up from a classic white tee but just as versatile. I really like the oatmeal color–I actually ordered a medium because the smaller sizes were backordered and I REALLY wanted that color 😂 So if you want it more relaxed in fit, you can order a size up too! I plan to order another in size small to compare in a different color (they have so many good ones!)

I love that this is easy to throw on over a sports bra post-workout but will also look so cute with jeans. A really great length–you don’t have to tuck in and it hits at just the right spot. I love the soft micro-rib for added texture/interest, too.

SALUTATION STASH HIGH RISE RIB MIX LEGGING: $69

Many of you have raved to me about Athleta’s leggings over the years, and the Salutation legging is always a stand-out favorite style. I hadn’t seen this ribbed version before and I especially love the color! This style is meant to be a studio staple but in my opinion they’re supportive enough for a run or even a HIIT workout, and cute enough to wear for everyday, too! (Especially when paired with the sweatshirt below as a set!) Pockets on both legs will hold all of your essentials (also a plus for mom life, where pockets are always necessary).

Sizing: TTS. I have size small! XS would’ve been too tight in the waist for my liking.

EVERYWHERE ANORAK: $135

For those looking for something a bit sportier than a trench but just as versatile, may I propose an Anorak? It’s a timeless style that’s also versatile. (This one also comes in a darker tan, if that’s more your thing).

It scores points for versatility because it’s great for layering (it’s thin and unlined, but a substantial water repellant material) and has two inner hidden pockets, outer pockets that snap closed to keep your essentials safe, a zipper and snap-shut storm flap. Great for misty fall and spring weather!

Sizing: It definitely runs big. I got a size small and I likely could’ve gone XS BUT–I do like that it’s roomy because it has room for layers underneath. I think this was the right size for what I’m wanting, but I will say at first (when I put it on without the sweatshirt underneath) I thought it was huge.

SEASOFT 1/4 ZIP BUBBLE HEM SWEATSHIRT: $59

In my opinion, this might be the #1 star of the show in terms of this try on. I absolutely adore this sweatshirt. I love the bubble hem. I love the half-zip. I love the dusty mauve color, but what I love the most is the FABRIC. I’ve never tried anything from their Sea Soft collection before but wow. I’d describe it as almost velvety soft but it’s a lightweight material at the same time. Even June commented on how soft it was and was petting my arm!

Sizing: I ordered a medium because I like some extra room in my sweatshirts. A small would’ve been great too–just depends on the fit you like!
