Arizona leaders and politicos are responding quickly to the news that an assassination attempt was made on the life of former President Donald Trump.
The Secret Service released the following statement: “During Former President Trump’s campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on the evening of July 13 at approximately 6:15 p.m., a suspected shooter fired multiple shots toward the stage from an elevated position outside of the rally venue. U.S. Secret Service personnel neutralized the shooter, who is now deceased. U.S. Secret Service quickly responded with protective measures and Former President Trump is safe. One spectator was killed, and two spectators were critically injured. This incident is currently under investigation. and the Secret Service has notified the FBI.”
One political consultant said on the condition of anonymity, “On July 8, 2024, President Joe Biden said, ‘We’re done talking about the debate, it’s time to put Trump in a bullseye.’ It looks as if someone followed his order.
Undaunted by the shooting, as he was being lead off the stage, President Trump, with streaks of blood on his face, raised a defiant fist and shouted to the crowd, “Fight, Fight, Fight.”
Political violence is unacceptable, and has no place in this country.
I am glad that former President Trump is safe, and hope that others at the rally were not seriously injured. I hope the perpetrator of this heinous act will be swiftly brought to justice.

The attack against former President Trump must be strongly condemned by ALL Americans — no matter their political beliefs. Political violence is never acceptable. Never. My thoughts are with the former President and anyone else who may have been injured or hurt at today’s rally.
— AZ Attorney General Kris Mayes (@AZAGMayes) July 13, 2024
It’s not enough to call him “badass” and watch in spectacle.
It’s time to get up and chase ballots. It’s time to sign up to be a poll worker. It’s time to make calls and knock doors. It’s time to support your conservative candidates up and down the ballot.

I’m disgusted & appalled by the attempt on President Trump’s life. In USA we resolve our differences at the ballot box & move on. We’ve had too many presidents & candidates struck by assassins & would-be killers. My fervent prayers for President Trump, his family & the spectators

Laura and I are grateful to God that President Trump survived today’s attempt at his life.
Our family is praying tonight for President Trump, the innocent bystanders that have been killed or remain in critical condition, and all those in attendance. We also owe our utmost…

Praying for President Trump and his recovery. This act of violence has no place at a peaceful campaign rally. May we pray for peace and civility in America.

I condemn political violence in the most unequivocal terms.
NO American political figure should ever be threatened with OR acted against with violence.
If we want to beat a political opponent, we do it with ballots, not bullets.— Adrian Fontes (@Adrian_Fontes) July 13, 2024
So they really are going to try to kill him. That would be a mistake … on their part. pic.twitter.com/Sp7UgQSYsk
