WASHINGTON – Following the showcase of MAGA extremism at the RNC this week, America Votes announced it is unleashing more than $40 million into the field in five battleground states in the next two weeks to defeat MAGA extremism and stop Donald Trump.
As first reported in the New York Times, the $40 million infusion will go to America Votes’ partner groups in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona and Nevada to increase their field programs and register, engage and mobilize voters.
“Our coalition of partners know how to defeat Donald Trump and company because they have done it in three consecutive elections,” said Daria Dawson, Executive Director of America Votes. “The RNC made it crystal clear that Democracy is again on the line in November so we are full-speed ahead, doing the work to engage and turn out voters who care about voting rights, reproductive freedom and policies that lower prices for working-class Americans instead of for corporations and one-percenters.”
America Votes is committed to defeating MAGA extremism from the White House to Congress to State Houses. The latest infusion of resources in the field brings America Votes’ total investment to nearly $65 million this cycle in voter registration, voter engagement and mobilization in what will be AV’s largest-ever investment in the field across key battleground states.
The America Votes investment will scale the work of partner groups who have already knocked on 5 million doors this year with a plan to knock at least 33 million doors across seven key battleground states.
“Our ground game is our best weapon and our asymmetrical advantage,” said Dawson. “The Right has nothing like the strengths of our groups and their deep roots in our communities. Voters get to decide the results of this election and we are wasting zero time knocking on doors, making calls and reminding them what’s at stake until Nov. 5.”
