Two people have been indicted for the heinous killings of three people at an Ahwatukee apartment complex in July.
53-year-old Dorian Rice and 30-year-old Chase Christman, have been indicted for the deaths of 37-year-old Samuel Lott, 27-year-old Merissa Honeycutt and 25-year-old Anthony Frederickson-Ceccarelli
According to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, on July 15th of this year, Phoenix Police Department officers responded to an apartment fire in an Ahwatukee neighborhood near 48th Street and Warner Road. Once the fire was extinguished, detectives found the bodies of the three victims inside. Each victim showed signs of trauma, including gunshot and stab wounds. Three pets also died in the fire.
Evidence developed by police placed the defendant, Chase Christman, at the scene. Further investigation identified a second individual, Dorian Rice, as an accomplice in this case.
The grand jury indicted Christman and Rice for the following crimes:
Three counts of First-Degree Murder, a Class One Dangerous Felony
One count of Burglary in the first degree, a Class Two Dangerous Felony
One count of Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, a Class Two Dangerous Felony
Three counts of Armed Robbery, a Class Two Dangerous Felony
Christman was also indicted on the following:
Two counts of Misconduct Involving Weapons, a Class Four Felony
Three counts of Intentionally Killing a Domestic Animal, a Class Five Felony
One count of Arson of an Occupied Structure, a Class Two Dangerous Felony
Both defendants are being held on a $5,000,000 cash-only bond.
