MANILA, Philippines—Home bet Cebu Chooks also got the boot in the Chooks-to-Go FIBA 3×3 World Tour Cebu Masters at SM Seaside on Saturday.

Cebu Chooks faltered against a hot-shooting Omaha 3BALL, 21-17, led by Malik Hluchoweckyj’s nine points.

Mike Harry Nzessue’s eight points and six rebounds were not enough to lift Cebu into the knockout round.

Earlier, Manila Chooks also bowed out after failing to get past the World Tour Masters leg’s qualifying draw after a 21-16 loss to Doha QSC.

Omaha moved on to the quarterfinal round against Amsterdam on Sunday while Antwerp will face Saitama, which finished as the second-best team in Pool C.

Pool D’s best team, Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy clashes with Pool B’s No. 2 Utsunomiya Brex.

The other quarterfinal matchup features Riga and Lausanne.

The champion at the end of this max-level Fiba 3×3 tournament will take home USD 40,000 with the runner-up settling for USD 30,000.
