SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Scattered showers and thunderstorms this morning are moving northeast. Some may contain brief heavy rainfall.
Most of the rain will fall this morning with sunshine expected for the afternoon. Highs will reach the 80s and 90s, with strong southerly winds of 20 to 30 mph. Gusts may approach 40 mph.
Scattered showers and storms will redevelop late this evening and tonight. Strong south winds again tonight will keep temperatures well above average. Many locations will fall to the 60s for lows.
After early morning rain, tomorrow will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy, warm and a little humid. South winds will continue 20 to 30 mph with an occasional higher gust.
It remains active as we go toward the end of the work week and into the weekend. Expect periods of scattered showers and thunderstorms as temperatures slowly cool for this weekend. Highs on Saturday and Sunday will be in the 70s.
