The Tennessee Titans braintrust is Indianapolis for the NFL combine, which will take place this week.

After learning on Sunday that one of their potential targets with the No. 1 pick, Shedeur Sanders, will opt out of workouts and focus on interviews, they got some similar news on another player that could shake things up.

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport dropped a note Monday afternoon that Penn State edge Abdul Carter will not work out at the combine.

Like Sanders, Carter will undergo the physical exams and complete interviews with teams during the event.

He was just cleared to resume training after suffering a shoulder injury against Boise State in the college football playoffs on New Year’s Eve. Carter, who is widely considered the top prospect in this draft class, and clearly on the Titans’ radar, should be ready for his scheduled Pro Day on March 28.

The Titans will likely meet with him this week before sending a contingent to Happy Valley for a workout. They could also bring him into the facility in Nashville for a top-30 visit.
