PIERRE, S.D. (KELO) — Here’s a look at some of the events scheduled at the state Capitol for Tuesday, February 18, the 22nd working day of the 2025 session of the South Dakota Legislature.
Senate Judiciary at 7:45 a.m. CT in room 413 considers six bills, including three that would require age verification to access internet sites and online app stores.
House Agriculture and Natural Resources at 7:45 a.m. in room 414 considers four bills, including expanding the hunting and trapping safety zone, terminating bounty payments for nest predators, and licensing fishing guides, hunting guides and outfitters.
Senate Committee on Appropriations at 8 a.m. CT in room 362 considers eight bills, including requiring legislative oversight on some state office leases, and shifting some money from anti-tobacco programs to the state general fund.
House Committee on Appropriations at 10 a.m. CT in room 464 considers seven bills, including funding for school meals.
Senate Commerce and Energy at 10:30 a.m. CT in room 412 considers two bills, including whether to require pipeline applicants obtain county permits.
Other committees meeting on Tuesday are House Taxation, House Health and Human Services, Senate Agriculture and Natural Resources, House Transportation, and House Local Government.
