In a July 23 article, the Arizona Republic is crucifying Trump for daring to expose Harris’ total failure in her role as someone assigned by Biden to stem the flow of illegal migrants to the United States.
They are doing this by claiming that Trump is lying because Harris was never given the role of border czar. Here is how they put it:
“Her role included working with Central American countries to address the root causes of immigration, but she was never given a “border czar” label or tasked with handling migrant surges at the border.”
Reading through this Arizona Republic piece, we are reminded of the wise words of William Shakespeare, who stated via his character Juliet:
“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet”
In other words, Harris was assigned to do what a border czar does, regardless of what anyone calls it.
Common sense should be enough to discredit this amateurish attempt by the Arizona Republic to discredit Trump, but there is more evidence to consider because it is obvious that she was tasked with stemming the flow of illegal immigration at the border, unless it was all a dog and pony show, never intended to get results.
On March 24, 2021, the left-leaning news website Axios published an article with the following headline.
“BIDEN PUTS HARRIS IN CHARGE OF BORDER CRISIS”
It characterized Harris’ assignment as consisting of several tasks, including this one:
“The first goal will be stemming the flow of illegal migrants to the U.S.”
The bottom line here is that Trump is on solid ground when he criticizes Harris for her failure at the border, regardless of whether she ever held the official title of “border czar.”
