The Tennessee Titans got their 2022 campaign off to a shaky start after a disappointing 0-2 start to the season. Since then, the Titans have reeled off three straight victories and enter their much-needed bye week with their heads finally above water at 3-2.
Despite their three-game winning streak, it hasn’t exactly been pretty football for the most part. One of the more glaring concerns through five weeks has been the Titans’ consistent struggles in pass coverage.
It seems like every week the secondary is allowing at least one receiver to have a big day and/or they have had a significant busted coverage that ultimately costs the team points.
Now that we are beyond the first five games of the 2022 season, I wanted to review which defensive coverages the Titans are running, how frequently they run them, and how much success they’re having with each coverage.
The data from this article is primarily collected from Sports Info Solutions (SIS). Some of their verbiage can be a bit confusing, therefore I will also link a glossary page that contains any definition that you may need to know.
