Rapper Daddy Long Neck’s 9-month-old son is recovering after a brutal beating blamed on the baby’s mom’s new boyfriend.
The infant, David Alfredo Samuelson Lopez, has been hospitalized in Los Angeles with skull fractures and brain bleeding, TMZ reported Thursday.
“My son can open his eyes a lil more,” the rapper posted on an Instagram story overnight. “He looked at me.”
The boyfriend of the rapper’s ex and mother of his child has been arrested, according to TMZ.
Daemien Obeso was booked for child abuse causing great bodily injury after the baby was hospitalized, the Montebello Police Department said.

A spokesperson for the department did not immediately return a request for more information from the Daily News Thursday.
Daddy Long Neck went viral on social media for his appearance, the result of Marfan Syndrome, which often results in long, skinny features. He has put out several songs on SoundCloud, including a collaboration with Wide Neck.
