To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers signed a $27 million contract to reconstruct the US 12/18 and County AB intersection in Madison. Construction is scheduled to begin September 6 and be completed October 2023. R.G. Huston Company Inc. is the prime contractor for the project.
The project will construct a diamond interchange with roundabouts at the ramp terminals just east of the existing County AB intersection; construct frontage roads connecting Millpond Road and Long Drive to the realigned County AB roadway; and add a roundabout at the new County AB and Millpond Road intersection.
US 12/18 will remain open during construction.
Work is scheduled through November before winter shutdown and will resume in March 2023.
