IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) – The Highway Series did not disappoint Tuesday night, and the Chukars returned home after a long road trip to take a 9-4 lead in the Highway Series over the Boise with a 12-10 victory.
Early on, it looked like it would be a blowout. The Chukars scored three runs in each of the first two innings for a 6-0 lead.
However, Boise kept chipping away at the Chuks advantage, drawing within two runs in the 5th, and using a six-spot to get within one in the 8th inning.
But the Chukars held on for the series-opening win, taking the first game of the homestead 12-10.
