Even after 30+ years in the spotlight, Jennifer Lopez proved on her Parisian honeymoon that she’s still full of surprises, sartorial ones especially. But unlike her many other shock-inducing fashion moments—a certain jungle-inspired Versace dress comes to mind—her most recent one isn’t bold or daring at all. Instead, it’s just a style move that she very rarely (if ever) makes.
On Monday, after spending the morning in a pair of her many sky-high platform heels—on this occasion, she chose a PVC style by Andrea Wazen—the newlywed was spotted in a very different style of shoe: ballet flats. With the French-girl favorite, Lopez wore a bright-blue shirtdress by Alexander McQueen, a Christian Dior tote bag, and oversize black sunglasses by Otra.
Though it only took 24 hours for Lopez to change back into her high-heeled shoe rotation, we can’t quite shake the look of the Hustlers actor wearing ballet flats on her honeymoon in Paris (swoon). Mark the occasion by shopping the flats that French girls swear by below.
