Detroit is getting a new comedy club — just in time for Valentine’s Day, for anyone looking for a cute date idea. The Comedy Bar is set to open on the lower level of The Norwood, a refurbished historic theater that was redeveloped in 2023 at 6531 Woodward Ave. in Detroit’s New Center area. It’s the first location outside of Chicago for the comedy club chain, which was founded in 2011 and received counts Saturday Night Live star Jim Belushi as a financial partner.
