SIOUX FALL, SD (KELO) — The City of Sioux Falls’ outdoor ice rinks are open for skaters of all ages. The rinks are located at Campus, Frank Olson, McKennan, Memorial, Sherman and Tuthill parks. Today’s hours are 1-8 p.m. Admission is free.

Open indoor skating at the SCHEELS IcePlex in Sioux Falls goes from 1-3 p.m. Admission is $9 for adults and $7 for children. Skate rentals are $4.

Ride for Rails is a rail jam-style competition at Great Bear Ski Valley starting at 1 p.m. It costs $10 to register with the money going to terrain park maintenance. Great Bear is open for regular skiing & snowboarding from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The tubing hill is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Terry Peak Ski Area in the Northern Black Hills is open for skiers and snowboarders. The hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mountain Time.

Dive into winter swimming, indoors, at the Midco Aquatic Center in Sioux Falls. Today’s hours are noon to 5 p.m.

Vote for your favorite burger during the Downtown Burger Battle in Sioux Falls. Forty businesses are competing for bragging rights through January 31st. Burgers are rated on flavor, patty, toppings, bun and presentation.

Explore Sioux Falls and South Dakota history courtesy of Siouxland Heritage Museums. The Old Courthouse Museum located downtown and the Pettigrew Home and Museum, in the Cathedral District, are both open from noon to 5 p.m.
