MANILA, Philippines — Carl Tamayo picked up from where he left off to lift the Changwon LG Sakers over the Anyang Red Boosters, 86-82, in the 2024-25 Korean Basketball League (KBL) on Saturday at Anyang Gymnasium.
Coming off a career-high 37 points in a 92-88 loss to the Seoul Samsung Thunders, Tamayo sustained his dominant form with 31 points on 61 percent shooting from the field, eight rebounds and two steals.

After another sensational game from the Gilas Pilipinas forward, Changwon bounced back and improved to a 15-13 record.

Tamayo also beat fellow University of the Philippines product Javi Gomez De Liaño, who had 13 points, five rebounds, and an assist.
Anyang dropped to a 7-21 record.

Meanwhile, Kevin Quiambao, who just arrived in South Korea, has yet to make his debut for the Goyang Sono Skygunners, who absorbed a heartbreaking 73-70 loss to KCC Egis.

Quiambao, the two-time UAAP MVP out of La Salle, landed in South Korea after getting his visa early this week. Goyang fell to a 9-19 record.
The Sono Skygunners try to rebound against the league-leading Seoul SK Knights on Sunday.
