MADISON – WMC Foundation, an affiliate of Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC), announced Wade Goodsell’s promotion to President of WMC Foundation.
“Wade is an invaluable asset to WMC,” said WMC President & CEO Kurt Bauer. “He has built the Foundation into a powerhouse of effective programming, research and education. Wade propels our entire organization, and our state, forward. We are proud and excited to promote him.”
Goodsell started his career at WMC working in membership and government relations. Today, he serves as Vice President of Membership & Partnerships in addition to his role as President of WMC Foundation. Under Goodsell’s leadership, WMC Foundation’s impact has been amplified through the growth of the Future Wisconsin Project and Wisconsin Business World programming, and through the launch of the Wisconsin Leads Executive Fellowship and Women in Business Forum.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue to advocate for the state’s business community and make Wisconsin the most competitive place to do business,” Goodsell added. “It’s an honor and a privilege to lead WMC Foundation as we strive to build a better Wisconsin.”
Goodsell has been recognized as a leading business voice in Wisconsin numerous times, being named to In Business Madison’s Forty under 40 list in 2024 and recognized by Consultant Connect as one of North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers. He serves as the President-Elect of the Association of State Chamber Professionals (ASCP) and on the board for the Wisconsin Center for Manufacturing Productivity, where he chairs the Audit Committee.
Prior to rejoining WMC, Goodsell worked at Baker Tilly and at the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation. He is a Wisconsin native and currently lives in Sun Prairie with his wife and children.
