The Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts faced off at Lucas Oil Stadium in an AFC South showdown on Sunday.
The Titans started out strong, putting seven points on the board in the first quarter, but after that, well, things went downhill as Indianapolis scored 38 unanswered points.
With three minutes remaining in the third quarter, the Titans finally found the end zone again and completed a two-point conversion. They would score two more times to make the score 38-30 with just under three minutes on the clock.
The Colts ran the clock down as far as they could before punting it away, but with just three seconds on the clock, there wasn’t much hope for the Titans and the score remained the same.
A big part of the Titans’ comeback can be credited to running back Tyjae Spears, who is this week’s Player of the Game. Spears carried the ball 10 times for 27 yards and two touchdowns, caught three passes for 39 yards, and returned two kicks for 69 yards.
Spears is finally healthy after battling some lingering injuries this season, and his play on the field is beginning to shine. He is a jack of all trades and makes an impact no matter where he is on the field or what his assignment is.
The Titans may have lost today, but Spears’ quiet impact is getting loud.
