INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating after a person was struck and killed by a driver on Indy’s west side Friday night.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just before 10:30 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of W. Washington Street & S. High School Road on the report of a personal injury accident.
When officers arrived at the scene, they determined the driver of a car struck a pedestrian. The victim was transported to a local hospital where they died from their injuries, according to police.
Investigators are still looking into if the driver remained on scene. The incident remains under investigation.
