SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — The Salvation Army of Sioux Falls says it reached its fundraising goal of $75-thousand during Saturday’s $20 Challenge.
Each $20 donation was matched by $100 from an anonymous donor.
One of the items dropped into a red kettle at the South Minnesota Avenue Hy Vee was a valuable gold kruggerand.
The Salvation Army says despite Saturday’s response from the community, it’s still short of its overall $350-thousand dollar holiday fundraising goal.
