INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana State Police have launched a death investigation on Interstate 65 in Indianapolis.
ISP has confirmed the investigation is being conducted near mile marker 103, which is the close to the interstate exit for Southport. A spokesperson for the agency told FOX59 and CBS4 the investigation is not related to a crash.
It is currently unclear exactly when ISP’s death investigation began or how the person they found got there. Officials have not yet specified exactly how the person they located in the area died.
ISP’s investigation does not appear to be causing any delays on I-65 in the area, as most of the patrol vehicles on scene are on the shoulder of the road.
As of this article’s publication, no additional information on the incident had been made available.
