GREENFIELD, Ind. — The Amazon facility in Greenfield is shut down on Friday after a reported shooting.
According to officials with Hancock County, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a reported shooting at the Amazon facility in Greenfield.
Officials with Amazon said the facility has been temporarily shut down, although the company didn’t comment directly on the shooting itself. Once the facility reopens, officials said that they will increase their on-site security personnel as a safety precaution.
“We are deeply saddened by this incident and our thoughts are with their loved ones during this difficult time,” Amazon Spokesperson Austin Stowe said in a statement to FOX59/CBS4. “We’re working closely with law enforcement while they investigate this incident.”
