SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A 57-year-old man has turned himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest following a possible road rage incident in eastern Sioux Falls on November 10.

Police say that Aaron John Maguire was near 57th Street and Veterans Parkway on that date when he fired several shots from a pickup truck at another car.

Nobody was injured in the shooting, but the car was struck several times by bullets, according to police spokesman Sam Clemens, who spoke about the incident at Tuesday’s police briefing.

Clemens said there is no relationship between the parties in the incident, but the exact nature is unknown.

“Obviously something happened when the two vehicles were driving,” Clemens said. “What we know is the suspect pulled out the gun and fired it at the victim’s car — what led up to that; the exact nature of what took place, we don’t exactly know.”

Maguire is being held on a $750,000 cash bond at the Minnehaha County Jail, facing charges of Aggravated Assault, Discharging a Firearm at an Occupied Vehicle and Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle.

This is a developing story.
