SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) –It’s a cold morning across KELOLAND as temperatures are forecast to stay well below normal. It’s great weather for making snow, however. Take a look at this video from Great Bear!
Temperatures will great for more snow-making weather during the day with highs only in the lower 20s this afternoon.
On Futurecast, you can see the coldest temperatures the next couple of days will stay in northeastern South Dakota. Temperatures will return below zero in the northeast tomorrow morning as light snow chances begin to return. We expect pockets of flurries and light snow tomorrow, so check back with updates on timing and placement of the snow. More light snow and flurries could easily develop on Sunday.
The jet stream pattern will continue to feature weak systems coming in from the northwest. We are expecting moderating temperatures for next week, with 40s and 50s quite likely by mid week.
All of the various snow chances will stay mostly in the northern plains the next few days.
