INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after a person was fatally shot on the east side Friday morning.
According to IMPD, officers were called around 11:32 a.m. to the 2100 block of Braeburn E Drive on the report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found a victim with injuries consistent with at least one gunshot wound. That victim was pronounced dead on the scene, IMPD said.
Additional information — such as potential suspects and the conditions leading up to the shooting — have not yet been made available.
