Anytime you fire a coach and bring in a whole new staff, there’s a rebuilding process. Which means that no matter how bad last season was, there’s still going to be a backslide before there is progress. This year was no different for Brian Callahan and the Titans, but we were starting to question whether his hiring was the right call.
As the Titans continue to show improvement, wins are less important than the quality of their play. The goal this season was to rebuild, and, to that end, Callahan is doing his job. We’re starting to see the fruits of their labor, and so are the players. When that happens, players often double-down on what they are doing to keep the momentum flowing.
The future is bright in Tennessee, and as long as there is still improvement in the losses, everyone knows that next season will be better.
