The Tennessee Titans defeated the Houston Texans 32-27 in head coach Brian Callahan’s first AFC South victory.

The game was not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, with too many sacks, red zone struggles, and more special teams gaffs, but the Titans held strong in the face of adversity and won a game they would have lost earlier in the season. This team has fight, and did just enough to go on the road and knock off the Texans.

After the game, Callahan was complimentary of his team, along with pointing out some of the standouts in the contest. Tony Pollard led the way with 119 yards on the ground, but there were contributions from everyone on the day.

“It was just great to see the way our guys fought at the end,” Callahan said, “and finally for us, we have something to show for it.”

Callahan is spot on in his assessment that the Titans needed every play at the end to pull this one out. Even the much-maligned special teams made a huge contribution, pinning the Texans deep, a play that allowed the defense to close it out.

The Titans can now travel back to Nashville with their heads held high after a tremendous victory in this AFC South battle.
