SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — One person is dead and another is seriously injured following a single-vehicle crash near Alexandria, South Dakota Saturday morning.
The names of the people involved have not been released pending family members’ notification.
Preliminary crash information indicates a 2024 Chevy Silverado was traveling westbound on I-90 near mile marker 344. The driver drifted into the median, corrected their steering, then entered the north ditch where the vehicle rolled.
The driver died at the scene. The adult passenger was transported to a Sioux Falls hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
