SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Dell Rapids rolled to the program’s first state championship with a four-set victory over Dakota Valley Saturday night.

The Quarriers won each of the first two sets narrowly, by four and two points, respectively. The Panthers extended the match with a win in set three before Dells shut the door with a 25-11 victory in set four.

Madelynn Henry had a monster game for the Quarriers with 24 kills and eight digs. DV’s Claire Munch matched her in both categories. They were the only two players in the match with double-digit kills.

Dell Rapids wrapped up the year 32-3, while Dakota Valley completed the season 31-6.
