SPRINGFIELD, MO. (KELO) — Third-ranked SDSU closed out the regular season with a 45-9 win at Missouri State Saturday afternoon.

The Jackrabbits scored the first two touchdowns of the game and led 14-0 less than a minute into the second quarter. The rest of the first half saw the Bears kick three field goals and South Dakota State one. SDSU found the endzone again in the closing seconds of the half for a 24-9 score heading into the locker room.

The second half belonged to the two-time reigning FCS champions. They scored all three touchdowns after the break.

The Jacks outgained the Bears 447-220, including 171-34 on the ground.

Mark Gronowski threw for 258 yards and two touchdowns on 14-of-25 passing. Griffin Wilde hauled in four catches for 139 yards, including a 53-yard touchdown. Amar Johnson rushed for 58 yards and a pair of scores on 12 carries.

The Jackrabbits tied atop the Missouri Valley Football Conference standings with USD and NDSU. State will learn its FCS Playoff draw Sunday with the Selection Show.
