SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The name of a man who was killed in a crash near Clear Lake, South Dakota has been released.
Preliminary crash information states that Richard Allen Vant Hul, the driver of a 2022 Chrysler Voyager, was traveling east on US 212 near mile marker 399. At the same time, a 2013 Ford Econoline was traveling west on US 212 and crossed into the eastbound lane to pass a vehicle in front of him.
While passing, the cars collided head-on.
Vant Hul died at the scene. The driver of the Econoline sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. All information released is subject to change.
