Hey there, Wisconsin! Governor Tony Evers here.
Millions of Wisconsinites went out to the polls or mailed in their ballots and made their voices heard in recent weeks.
On top of that, this week, we also celebrated Election Hero Day.
Election Hero Day gives all of us the opportunity to honor, recognize, and thank our dedicated local clerks, election administrators, poll workers, voter education groups, and postal service workers.
In Wisconsin, our election workers are our friends and neighbors who answer the call to serve and go above and beyond to ensure our elections are safe and secure.
They work tirelessly to promote voter engagement and participation, protect access to the ballot box, and make sure every eligible ballot is counted.
And while election administration is never an easy responsibility, these folks have faced immense, unprecedented challenges over the past few years, and they have never failed to display courage, resilience, and dedication.
So, on behalf of our entire state, I want to express my sincere appreciation for all those who work tirelessly to protect the integrity of our elections and provide safe, secure, and accessible voting experiences for voters all across Wisconsin.
You are heroes to me, and to our neighbors and communities, and to our democracy.
So, Wisconsin, take a moment this week to thank your local clerk, poll workers, and election administrators. Holy cow, do they deserve it, and happy Election Hero Day, Wisconsin!
Thank you.
