SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Trick-or-treaters were out Thursday night.

The National Retail Federation says Spider-Man, ghosts, and princesses are some of the popular costumes this Halloween.

In Sioux Falls, at least one weatherman collected candy.

Six-year-old London Beckman wants to forecast the weather someday.

The Sioux Falls boy even has a collection of monitors at home, similar to the KELOLAND Storm Center.

Kelli Volk: Why do you like weather?
London: Because I want to teach people what’s happening.

Lynnette Ingalls is London’s grandma.

“He’s a little performer, so if someone has time he will explain the different clouds. Sometimes he will say cumulus,” Ingalls said.

That’s why his Halloween costume this year won’t come as a surprise.

Volk: What are you dressed as right now?
London: Weatherman.

London snapped a photo in his costume in front of KELOLAND News over the weekend as he trick-or-treated downtown.

“Everybody was stopping and wanting to know so many questions. They were like, ‘We’ve never seen this before. This is so unique. What a great costume,'” Ingalls said.

KELOLAND News invited London back to KELO this week where he chatted with Meteorologist Scot Mundt.

Mundt: What’s your favorite kind of weather?
London: Talking about tornadoes.

Of course, no trip to KELO would be complete without a peek inside the studio.

There’s a lot to see in the studio, especially for a future forecaster.

“What is this one?” London asked as he pointed at a computer monitor.

“He’s just a learning tool. He’s like a sponge. He just wants to learn it all right now,” Ingalls said.

And the aspiring weatherman is also dressing the part.
