We were told it was going to happen, but it sure feels great to get official confirmation. The Pearl Theater at the Palms, forever one of the most beloved concert venues in the city, will host Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo on September 3, with tickets starting at $45 on sale Friday, June 17 via Ticketmaster. The Live Nation-promoted event is the first concert at the Pearl since the off-Strip resort reopened under new management in April. The Palms had remained closed since the March 2020 pandemic shutdowns.
Last week it was Katy Perry. This week it’s Luke Bryan’s turn to add dates to his Resorts World residency show. The country star is back onstage tonight and this weekend, and he just announced six more dates from November 30 through December 10, naturally coinciding with National Finals Rodeo time in Las Vegas. Caesars Palace resident headliner Sting, also currently performing on June 15, 17 and 18, also added dates to his show at the Colosseum. He’ll return for five concerts in April 2023.
There were tons of other Vegas concert and entertainment event announcements this week. Here’s everything we know about: Country group Lonestar will perform at Heritage Park in Henderson on July 4 as part of the City of Henderson’s Independence Day celebration; Post-punk-inspired rock band She Wants Revenge will perform at Backstage Bar & Billiards on Fremont Street on August 26; The Marshall Tucker Band will play Chrome Showroom at Santa Fe Station on September 9; Grupo Firme will perform at Allegiant Stadium on September 15 for Mexican Independence Day along the group’s first U.S. stadium tour; Comedian John Mulaney’s From Scratch Tour touches down at T-Mobile Arena on September 16; New Orleans rap duo Suicideboys will play UNLV’s Thomas & Mack Center on September 30; British rock outfit Foals will perform at Brooklyn Bowl on the Strip on October 28; And hip-hop superstar Post Malone will bring his Twelve Carat Tour to T-Mobile Arena on November 11.
“Dragon Dolls,” billed as an “anime and cosplay cabaret,” is taking guests on a sexy ride through a fantasy world during a limited engagement June 17, 18 and 19 at the Nerd at Neonopolis in downtown Vegas. The show features music, dance, comedy, acrobatics and some innovative showgirl costumes that take inspiration from anime culture, movies and video games. Among the performers are Vegas veterans Jessica Delgado (“Fantasy,” “Sexxy”) and Dani Elizabeth (“Crazy Girls”). Find ticket info at dragondollslv.com.
The Mirage is now selling tickets for headlining magician Shin Lim’s “Limitless” show through June 2023, an unsurprising development for anyone who’s seen the unique production in the Mirage Theatre co-starring mentalist Colin Cloud. Showtimes are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Monday with tickets available at mirage.com or on Ticketmaster.
The Las Vegas Tribute Festival will take place July 14-17 at Sam’s Town Live and Roxy’s Lounge at Sam’s Town, featuring acclaimed tribute artists performing the music of Elvis Presley, Elton John, Tom Jones, Rod Stewart, Cher and more.
