WESTFIELD, Ind. — The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on Friday that a male pedestrian was killed in a crash on Oct. 19.
Per the HCSO, at around 8:19 p.m. on this date, the Sheriff’s Office Crash Team was called to the 18900 block of Eagletown Road on the report of a pedestrian strike. According to a preliminary investigation, a Toyota SUV was heading northbound on Eagletown Road when the driver struck a male pedestrian who was also northbound in that roadway.
While the driver of the SUV was uninjured, the HCSO said the pedestrian — later identified as Michael Kaforke of Westfield — was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Westfield Fire Department.
The crash remains under investigation.
