The Lions have two running backs they rely on, David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs. We’ll get to Gibbs later, but if you look at the stats for this season, you’ll see that the Lions alternate which back they rely on each game. Guess who’s turn it is this week? Montgomery has six of the Lions’ 11 rushing touchdowns, and don’t forget he’s perfectly capable of catching a pass, too.
The Titans’ run defense is in the top 10, but with the departure of Ernest Jones IV and putting Harold Landry III on the trading block, their already slim defense is going to have gaping holes. Start Montgomery this week, it’s his turn to hit the Lions’ ground game and he’s going to have no issue getting down the field.
