MADISON, Wis. — In an op-ed in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Bryan Steil tried to rewrite history by touting his support for legislation that would lower prescription drug costs. The reality is that Bryan Steil voted against the Inflation Reduction Act, which actually capped the price of insulin and lowered drug prices for seniors.
“As hard as he may try, Bryan Steil can’t run from his vote against lowering the cost of prescription drugs,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Deputy Communications Director Haley McCoy. “If it were up to Bryan Steil, seniors would be left on their own to pay exorbitant costs for life-saving medication. Voters in the 1st Congressional District are tired of Bryan Steil saying he will help them but refusing to work across the aisle to actually bring down their costs.”
