SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO)– One person has died in a motorcycle crash Sunday night in Sioux Falls, according to a news release from the Sioux Falls Police.

Officers responded around 11:48 p.m. to W. 95th St and S. Western Ave. A 2002 Harley Davidson Dyna motorcycle had been northbound approaching the round-about intersection. The motorcycle had been occupied by a 30 year old man and a 29 year old woman. The motorcycle failed to negotiate the round-about and crashed.

The 29 year old woman died at the hospital.

Both the driver and passenger were not wearing helmets. Speed and alcohol are still being investigated as to potential contributing factors, and charges could be forthcoming depending on the outcome of the investigation, the release says.

It is possible the morning commute near 95th and Western could be impacted on Monday due to this ongoing investigation. Students and staff reporting to Harrisburg North Middle School and Endeavor Elementary School may have to travel in from the west on 95th street, according to the release.
