CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. — The Delphi murders trial is expected to finally start on Friday.

After jury selection and other motions were considered by Special Judge Fran Gull in Fort Wayne earlier this week, opening arguments will begin Friday morning at the Carroll County Courthouse in Delphi.

This starts the process of the weeks-long trial of Richard Allen, who has been charged with four counts of murder in connection with the February 2017 deaths of Abby Williams and Libby German near the Monon High Bridge. Allen was arrested by Indiana State Police in October 2022.

FOX59/CBS4 Reporter Russ McQuaid discussed what can be expected out of Friday’s opening arguments to FOX59/CBS4 Reporter Kit Hanley on the FOX59 Morning News. Look in the video player above to watch.
