AVON, Ind. — The Avon Police Department confirmed that a 7th-grade student was killed after a fatal crash on U.S. Highway 36 over the weekend.
In a Facebook post, Avon PD said the juvenile was a 12-year-old student at Avon Community School Corporation South Middle School. APD is continuing to investigate the crash but did not specify whether there were any additional casualties.
However, APD did provide support to the families of both parties involved in the crash, asking the public to “…keep [them] in your thoughts and prayers.”
