INDIANAPOLIS — Officials with the Indiana Secretary of State’s Office recently announced the winners of its 2024 “I Voted” sticker design contest.
In early September, Diego Morales, Indiana’s secretary of state, announced the contest, giving Indiana children the chance to be a part of the election process by designing stickers handed out to voters during November’s general election.
In a news release announcing the winners of this year’s contest, Morales said there were nearly 1,000 submissions from Hoosiers across the state. Winners came from places like Zionsville, Mooresville, Westfield and Sellersberg.
“I am incredibly proud of the young Hoosiers who participated in the “I Voted” sticker design contest,” Morales said in the release. “Creativity and enthusiasm for our election process shine through each design, showcasing that the future of our state is bright. Congratulations to our winners – you’ve made a positive mark on Indiana’s elections with your artwork.”
The winners of this year’s contest include:
K-3rd Grade
- First Place: Iris Lopez from Alexander Hamilton Elementary School in Lake Station
- Second Place: Noelle Bartal from Batesville Intermediate School in Batesville
- Third Place: Liam Bruce from Maple Glen Elementary School in Westfield
4th-8th Grade
- First Place: Anna Rose Worthington from Zionsville Middle School in Zionsville
- Second Place: Tzipporah Holloway from South Newton Middle School in Kentland
- Third Place: Melanie Muñoz from Silver Creek Elementary School in Sellersburg
9th-12th Grade
- First Place: Ryli Skinner from West Washington Jr.-Sr. High School in Campbellsburg
- Second Place: Ava Sponsler from Mooresville High School in Mooresville
- Third Place: Tori Zook from Mooresville High School in Mooresville
According to previous reports, the first-place-winning design from each grade level will be featured on stickers distributed on Election Day, which is Nov. 5.
Early voting has started in the State of Indiana. Marion County voters are able to vote at the Indianapolis City-County Building, as well as other locations starting on Oct. 26. That information can be found if you click here.
