SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A 5-year-old girl died Tuesday morning after being hit by a car in Yankton.
Preliminary crash information states that a driver of a Chevy Silverado was reentering the roadway on at a four-way stop near Mulberry Street. At the same time, a 5-year-old girl was crossing the street and was hit by the truck. The driver did not see the child.
The child was transported to a Yankton hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The names of those involved have not been released at this time pending notification of family members.
