Franchise Owner of the Primrose School of Sioux Falls, Paige Berg, said there are more than 500 Primrose Schools in the U.S. across 34 states, she added they are more than a day care.

“A key differentiator that sets Primrose apart from other daycares or early education providers is our exclusive research-informed curriculum, so it really fosters not only the intellectual development but also their creative physical and emotional development as well,” Berg said.

The 12,734 square-foot preschool will serve 176 students, create 50 full-and-part-time jobs, feature 12 classrooms, an indoor play area and three outdoor playgrounds.

Berg said their curriculum for the school was crafted by leaders in early education.

“Everything down to the equipment and the toys that are used in each of the classrooms has been picked out by those leaders in the space so with that we can make sure that they’re age-appropriate and that they are going to help with their development,” said Berg.

Berg said all of South Dakota has really been facing a child care crisis and hopes the new school will help ease the local child care shortage.

“We are really excited to be able to offer another awesome child care experience,” Berg said. “We are also really excited to bring additional jobs on education and to make sure our children are well prepared to enter kindergarten.”

Berg said that she started this journey with her husband several years ago and its been a dream of hers to open a school like this for a long time.

“When we had our oldest son we started looking for child care and we ran into extensive wait lists and we were really just trying to find a good fit for our family so we are really excited to bring another great option to the Sioux Falls community.”

According to the press release, the school is set to open summer of 2025 and will offer early education experiences for children ages 0-5.
