Arizonans are ready to return to a redder heyday, according to Republican congressional candidate Abe Hamadeh.

Hamadeh reports he is hearing that on the campaign trail every day, and his observation appears to be borne out by registration data.

Hamadeh says Arizona voters believe the stakes to be high this November and that there is a widespread perception that America is heading “down this path of self-destruction.”

Hamadeh has heard that sentiment echoed in other states as well.

“The people of Arizona are fed up with weak leadership. They’re ready for change, and they know I’m the one who will bring it,” said Hamadeh, addressing his own campaign. “The momentum is on our side because the people know I won’t back down. I’m here to fight for them, and they’re ready to fight with me to rescue the America we love.”

“The biggest surprise has been just how awake people are of what’s really going on,” added Hamadeh. “Everywhere I go, people know that we are in the fight of our lives to save our country. Americans are done with being ignored and treated like second-class citizens, they want leadership that actually stands for the people and puts Americans first. The level of passion and support I’ve seen has been off the charts. It’s not just a campaign, it’s a movement.”

Hamadeh said Arizonans are “ready” for a second term of “strong, decisive leadership” under President Donald Trump. “Everywhere I go, people are talking about how we need Trump back to clean up this mess. Arizona is ready to turn this state red again.”

For his part, the former president has shown his continued support for Hamadeh and he made it clear during Trump’s Prescott Valley rally on Sunday, when he gave Hamadeh a shout out.

Hamadeh, a former U.S. Army Reserve Captain and Intelligence Officer, grew up in Arizona’s 8th Congressional District. He attended public schools in the District and in 2012, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in political science from the School of Politics and Global Studies at Arizona State University.

In 2016, Hamadeh got his JD from the University of Arizona College of Law as well as his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserve. During law school Hamadeh was awarded the Udall Fellowship from the Arizona Prosecuting Attorneys’ Advisory Council, which gave him the opportunity to work at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Pima County Attorney’s Office and the Tucson City Prosecutor’s Office.”

Loving the experience of being able to work at the local, state, and federal levels, Hamadeh went to work for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office where, according to a Politifact fact check, Hamadeh prosecuted 27 cases as lead chair and assisted in over 100 cases during his tenure.

While working at the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, Hamadeh was deployed overseas with the Army Reserve to Saudi Arabia for 14 months where he vetted terrorist threats.

Now, Hamadeh wants to defend the U.S. in Congress from enemies foreign and domestic and he says he is up for the battle no matter how long it takes.

Hamadeh has been engaged in a years-long court battle challenging the validity of the 2022 election which saw his Democratic opponent, Kris Mayes, named the victor in Arizona’s Attorney General race. Despite findings of disenfranchisement of hundreds of legitimate voters, judges refused a full examination of the issues raised and considered the matter to be settled. Both sides are still awaiting a ruling from the Arizona Supreme Court on the case.

Believing the justice courts were broken, Hamadeh refocused his energy to try his message out in the court of public opinion; specifically the Republican Primary for House District 8.

Eventually winning the Primary, Hamadeh endured blistering racist ads pumped out by Blake Masters, a venture capitalist who lost in a near landslide to Sen. Mark Kelly in the 2022 U.S. Senate race and the deep pockets behind Arizona State Speaker of the House Ben Toma.

CD8 is considered a Republican stronghold held since 2018 and soon to be vacated by Republican Congresswoman Debbie Lesko. Yet, the expectation that he has already won has not dampened the fire in his belly. That is due in part because of his constituents.

Along the campaign trail, Hamadeh said voters were consistently “fired up” over a similar list of concerns: the border, the economy, and their safety. Per these voters, they feel the government treats them as second-class citizens.

“They’re watching Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ open-border policies destroy our communities. Inflation is squeezing families to the breaking point, and crime is on the rise,” said Hamadeh. “People want someone who’s going to secure our borders, bring back jobs, restore American energy dominance and get tough on crime.”

These concerns align well with Hamadeh’s first priorities for taking office: cracking down cartels, closing the border, reducing inflation, bringing American jobs back home, restoring American energy production, and even going after bureaucrats undermining American interests.
