SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — There are no shortage of Halloween scares this weekend.

The Jaycees Feargrounds Haunted House has opened its creaky doors at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds. This year’s theme is Asylum at the Feargrounds. The hours are 7-11:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 to $17. Order tickets online to save $5.

Businesses at Lake Lorraine in Sioux Falls are hosting a trick-or-treat event. People are invited to come in costume and bring a bag to carry treats starting at 1 p.m. Park in the Carsforsale.com parking lot and enter from the north entrance.

Oak Grove Park Campground in Hawarden, IA is hosting a Trick or Treat Hike. Children 12 and under are invited to trick or treat in custom at the park campsites from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Riverview Christmas Tree Farm in Canton, SD is hosting a Pumpkin Festival. New this year: a giant pumpkin cannon and apple cannons. Families can also enjoy pumpkin picking, pumpkin painting, train rides and duck races. The hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Then, you’re invited to summon your courage and take a stroll along the Haunted Trail from 7-9 p.m. The cost is $10 for ages 9 and up. It’s $8 for children 8 and under. Money raised supports Canton High School’s FFA and Drama Club.

The Sioux Falls Home Expo features experts who will help you with your next home improvement project. It’s taking place at the Sioux Falls Convention Center & Arena from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday’s hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

St. John American Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls is hosting a Fall Harvest Festival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The festival includes a homemade soup lunch with fresh bread and pie, plus a bake sale and silent auction. The cost is a suggested $5 donation or a canned food item. All proceeds will go toward paying down school lunch debts at Hayward and Garfield schools.

Other Fall Festivals in KELOLAND include Country Apple Orchard in Harrisburg, SD and Mazing Acres in Yankton. The hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The festivals runs every weekend through October.

Purchase fresh produce and hand-crafted items at farmers markets in Sioux Falls and Brandon. The Falls Park Farmers Market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Brandon Farmers Market goes from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on North Splitrock Boulevard. The farmers markets are held each Saturday through the end of the month.

The Heartland County Corn Maze, east of Harrisburg on Highway 11, is open for its 25th season. The 11-acre maze is open from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday’s hours are noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $9, $6 for children and free for ages 4 and under.

Shake, Rattle & Roll is a fundraising concert for Midwest Honor Flight featuring rock music from the 1950’s performed by local artists. Doors open at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance in Sioux Falls at 6:30 p.m. The music starts at 7 p.m.

Movies playing at the historic State Theater in downtown Sioux Falls include Ghostbusters and Monster House, both rated PG, plus Strange Darling, rated R.

The Wells Fargo CineDome & Sweetman Planetarium features Magic Globe, T. Rex, Cities of the Future and Experience the Aurora.

New movie releases playing at a theater near you include Piece by Piece, rated PG, Average Joe, rated PG-13, Terrifier 3, NR and Saturday Night, rated R.

The Augustana University hockey team takes on Long Island University. The puck drops at the Midco Arena on the Augie campus at 7:07 p.m.

The Stampede hockey team plays the Cedar Rapids Roughriders. The puck drops at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center at 6:05 p.m.
