Whether Anthony Richardson is ready to play or Joe Flacco gets the nod, pressuring the Colts quarterback is a must this week. Running back Jonathan Taylor has been ruled out and Michael Pittman, Jr. has a back injury that has him listed as doubtful for the game. That leaves the options for whoever plays quarterback very limited. Getting pressure on the quarterback will force them to make faster decisions, which will lead to mistakes.
Richardson has already thrown six interceptions this season, and while Flacco hasn’t thrown any this season, he’s not impervious having thrown 155 interceptions in his 17-year career. The Colts have also allowed 10 sacks this season, four on Richardson and six on Flacco, which bodes well for the Titans defense.
The Colts offense is going to struggle against the Titans’ stout defense, but the more pressure the line can get on the quarterback, the better.
