INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis family of five and their puppy is displaced after a heavy fire on the southeast side of Indianapolis on Sunday night.

The Indianapolis Fire Department was dispatched at approximately 9:41 p.m. to the 6300 block of Selago Dr. on a report of a fire.

Upon arrival to the scene, officers learned that a heavy fire started in the garage an spread to the attic. The family reportedly told fire crews that they heard a loud boom and began smelling smoke.

The fire caused significant damage to the house and four cars.

Working smoke alarms and multiple 911 calls allowed for the fire to be under control within 25 minutes.

No injuries have been reported. This fire remains under investigation.
