SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The City of Sioux Falls will be hosting more NCAA men’s hockey regionals.

The NCAA announced on Wednesday that Augustana University will host the 2028 regionals at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.

The NCAA hosts a 16-team college hockey tournament, with four host cities hosting 4-team regional tournaments to determine the four teams for the Frozen Four.

This is the third time Sioux Falls will host one of the college hockey regionals. The first time was in 2018 and the second time was in 2024. This is the first time Augustana has been named as a host. The Augustana hockey team had its program’s inaugural season in 2023-2024.
