SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — Here are this morning’s top stories with KELOLAND On the Go.

Three people are injured after shots were fired Monday night in west Rapid City.

A house explosion in Deuel County is being investigated by authorities. Authorities say two people were inside the home at the time of the explosion. One victim is in critical condition, and the other victim has life-threatening injuries.

Sioux Falls Police had a heavy police presence around Washington High School Monday after originally receiving a call to check on the well-being of a person. Through their investigation, authorities learned the person may have a weapon. Police were in contact with the Sioux Falls School District, who then decided to place Washington High and Anne Sullivan Elementary in shelter-in-place status.

After a chilly start to the morning, another mild day is ahead for KELOLAND as we begin this new month of October.
